​HOV Lanes

A High Occupancy Vehicle Lane, or HOV Lane,  is used to reduce congestion along Interstate 279, the Parkway North, by promoting ridesharing via carpooling, vanpooling or public transportation. With the exception of motorcycles, all vehicles using the HOV lane must have at least two people in them from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Entrances: I-279 South near the Perrysville Avenue Interchange; Perrysville Park and Ride Lot; McKnight Road
Exits: Anderson Street/9th Street; Mazeroski Way; I-279 South between Madison Avenue and PA 65; Bedford Avenue

Outbound:
Entrances: Bedford Avenue; Mazeroski Way; Anderson Street/9th Street
Exits: McKnight Road; Perrysville Park and Ride Lot; I-279 North near the Perrysville Interchange

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM (HOV 2+)

Outbound:
Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (HOV 2+), 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM (Unrestricted Use)
Friday, 7:00 PM - Monday, 5:00 AM (Unrestricted Use)

Closed:
Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
