Overview

The Lansdowne Avenue Safety Improvement (Project) aims to address safety concerns on Lansdowne Avenue (Route 2005) from Marshall Road to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, in the Boroughs of Lansdowne, Yeadon, and Darby in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Project is to reduce the occurrence of angle and rear-end crashes along the corridor. The Project safety improvements include installing retroreflective backplates on signals, coordinating arterial signals, adding pedestrian countdown timers on new signal poles, installing additional lighting and mast arms, and constructing ADA ramps at impacted intersections. Construction will occur within the existing right-of-way.
