East State Road Project
Project Overview
The project will include resurfacing East State Road (Route 2006) from Route 257 to Hill City Road (Route 2015) in Cranberry Township in Venango County. Additional work will include the replacement of a deteriorated metal pipe culvert that is located on East State Road between the intersections of Horsecreek Road and Hill City Road (Route 2015). The pipe will be replaced with a concrete pipe and the roadway will be reconstructed in that area.
A portion of East State Road is expected to be closed for approximately two days during the replacement of the pipe culvert. A 8.6-mile detour will be posted using Hill City Road, Mapleshade Road (Route 2004), Route 322, and Route 257.
Work is expected to occur during the 2023 construction season. It will be part of a contract that also includes paving on Deep Hollow Road (Route 3025) from Route 322 to Bredinsburg Road (Route 2006) and Rockland Cranberry Road (Route 2013) from East Sandy Creek Bridge to Route 322.
