A bulletin was issued on March 11, 2016, that clarified the minimum training qualifications and supervision requirements for TSS workers that implement a treatment plan that includes ABA if the child or adolescent the TSS worker is serving is diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The bulletins describe both initial and ongoing training requirements.
Training Requirements for Licensed Behavior Specialists Who Use Behavioral Specialist Consultant-Autism Spectrum Disorder Services to Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis.
A bulletin was issued on April 26. 2016 which notified providers of the training requirements for newly licensed behavior specialists who use BSC-ASD services to provide ABA and who meet the training requirements for the behavior specialist license through training approved by the Bureau of Autism Services (BAS) or the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The bulletin specifies that after May 15, 2016, at least 45 hours of training must address ABA.
