LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD

Alcohol Education & Training

The PLCB is committed to providing information about responsible alcohol consumption through its Bureau of Alcohol Education.

The PLCB's Bureau of Alcohol Education has a
three-fold mission:

  • Deliver “no-use” and “zero tolerance” messages to those under the age of 21
  • Encourage responsibility and moderation for any adult age 21 and over who chooses to drink alcoholic beverages
  • Promote responsible alcohol service and practices among licensees and those who serve beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania
Alcohol Education programs engage many agencies, organizations, school districts and institutions of higher education in efforts to reduce underage and high-risk drinking. A wide range of resources are available to those who share the PLCB’s mission.

The comprehensive Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) offers training and certification to beverage alcohol licensees in Pennsylvania, including owner/manager training and server/seller training.
