Tisha Albert
As Director of Regulatory Affairs, Tisha Albert has oversight and responsibility for the daily operations the Bureau of Alcohol Education, which strives to reduce underage and dangerous drinking and promote responsible consumption, and the Bureau of Licensing, which is responsible for the issuance, renewal and validation of tens of thousands of retail and wholesale beverage alcohol licenses annually.
Prior to being named Director of Regulatory Affairs in November 2016, Tisha spent 26 years in the Bureau of Licensing, working her way up the ranks from licensing specialist to management positions, and eventually being named director of the bureau in 2011. She has vast experience managing people, policies and procedural workflows, and she was instrumental in the development of PLCB+, an internet-based electronic platform introduced in 2016 to modernize regulatory affairs functions related to licensing and alcohol education. Throughout her career Tisha has overseen significant regulatory and information technology changes, becoming an adept and effective leader in change management.
Tisha earned a paralegal degree from Blackstone Career Institute and is a 2005 graduate of the commonwealth’s Leadership Development Institute, a professional development program providing select commonwealth employees demonstrating great potential with opportunities to explore leadership theories, concepts and techniques.
Outside of work, Tisha spends a great deal of time renovating her home in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County. Her most enjoyable moments are spending quality time with family and pampering her grandchildren.
