CHILDREN'S LAKE

Located in Cumberland County, Children's Lake is a 7-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating.

FISHING

The Commission stocks Children's Lake with trout. Commonwealth Inland Waters regulations apply for all other species of fish.

A special fishing regulation area for trout (Catch and Release Artificial Lures Only) starts at the outfall of Children's Lake downstream to the confluence with Yellow Breeches Creek at Boiling Springs (0.17 mile). The special regulation area continues another mile downstream on Yellow Breeches Creek to the vicinity of Allenberry.

BOATING

Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. One launch ramp is available along with associated parking facilities.

To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources).
