Registration Suspensions

Your registration may be suspended for unpaid parking tickets or tolls with the possibility of an indefinite suspension if you don't pay on time.

Philadelphia Parking Authority

If the Philadelphia Parking Authority issues six or more unpaid tickets, they will suspend your registration until they notify you. If authorities catch you with more parking tickets while your registration is suspended, they will impose an extra suspension.

Under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, your vehicle registration may be suspended if you have:

  1. Four or more unpaid toll invoices

  2. $250 or more in unpaid invoices and fees

  3. Defaulted on a payment plan for tolls and fees from the PA Turnpike Commission (PTC)

The suspension will stay in effect until the Philadelphia Parking Authority confirms compliance. Also, you must meet all other requirements to restore the registration.

If you do not pay the parking tickets by the due date, an indefinite suspension will take effect. We will place an administrative hold on the customer's record.
