2023-24 FURBEARER HUNTING SEASONS
COYOTES: No closed season. Outside of any big game season (deer, bear, elk and turkey), coyotes may be taken with a hunting license or a furtaker license, and without wearing orange. During any big game season, coyotes may be taken while lawfully hunting big game or with a furtaker license.
FOXES: Oct. 21-Feb. 17, 2024; Sunday hunting permitted.
RACCOONS: Oct. 21-Nov. 11, Sunday Nov. 12, Nov. 13-18, Sunday Nov. 19, Nov. 20-25, Sunday Nov. 26 and Nov. 27-Feb. 17, 2024.
OPOSSUM, STRIPED SKUNKS and WEASELS: No closed season. During the firearms deer season, may only be hunted from ½ hour after sunset to ½ hour before sunrise. No Sunday hunting with the exceptions of Nov. 12, Sunday Nov. 19 and Nov. 26.
BOBCAT (WMUs 2A, 2B, 2C, 2E, 2F, 2G, 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D and 4E): Jan. 6-Jan. 31, 2024.
PORCUPINES: Oct. 7-Nov. 11, Sunday Nov. 12, Nov. 13-18, Sunday Nov. 19, Nov. 20-24, Dec. 11-23 and Dec. 26-Jan. 27, 2024.
2023-24 TRAPPING SEASONS
MINKS and MUSKRATS: Nov. 18-Jan. 7, 2024.
COYOTES, FOXES, OPOSSUMS, RACCOONS, STRIPED SKUNKS and WEASELS: Oct. 21-Feb. 18, 2024.
COYOTES and FOXES, CABLE RESTRAINTS (Statewide): Dec. 26-Feb. 18, 2024.Participants must pass cable restraint certification course.
BEAVERS (Statewide): Dec. 17-March 30, 2023 (Limits vary depending on WMU).
RIVER OTTERS (WMUs 1A, 1B, 2F, 3B, 3C, 3D and 4E): Feb. 10-17, 2024.
