    Report a violation

    You may file a complaint for a suspected violation of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code online, by telephone, or in person at any Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement District Office.

    Violations

    Violations of the Liquor Code include, but are not limited to:

    • Noisy or disorderly operations
    • Sales to minors,
    • Sales to visibly intoxicated persons
    • Sales after hours
    • Gambling
    • Drug activity
    • Sales of alcohol without a license.

    The Bureau operates a toll-free hotline to receive complaints on Liquor Code Violations. When leaving a voicemail message, speak slowly and clearly, and provide all available information, including:

    • Name and address of licensee or speakeasy operator
    • Days of the week and/or time of day the violations are occurring
    • Any other information that could assist the investigation

    All information is kept confidential. Contact information is not required to report a violation, but is requested in case additional information is required.

    Submit a complaint online

    The Bureau accepts complaints online. Personal information is optional. 

    In-person complaint

    You may call or walk into any of the nine District Offices to report underage drinking or a violation of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.

    Underage drinking hotline: 1-888-UNDER21

    The Bureau operates a toll-free hotline to report underage drinking occurring at a location other than an establishment licensed to serve alcohol. Please provide all available information, including:

    • Location where underage drinking is occurring
    • Name of person or persons providing the alcohol if known
    • Date and time underage drinking is occurring or planned to occur
    • Any other information that could assist in the investigation

    All information is kept confidential. Contact information is not required to report a violation, but is requested in case additional information is required.
